That too, without the help of any integration tool. This robust feature of Dynamics 365 provides many advantages to any organization that uses an ERP system.

This article outlines the troubleshooting steps for dual-write integration between the finance operations app and Dataverse. It will help you resolve the issues you’ve been encountering with live synchronization. You can fix the problems yourself or seek the guidance of an expert Microsoft Dynamics 365 consultant. They have the required expertise to resolve the D365 issues. So, hiring a professional Microsoft Dynamics 365 consultant can provide you with a quick and speedy resolution.

Here are some of the most common issues related to live synchronization and the steps to fix them.

Error: Live synchronization displays a 403 forbidden error when a new row is created in the Dynamics 365 Finance and operations app.

Sometimes, you may witness an error like “The remote server returned an error: 403 (forbidden)”. To resolve the issue, follow the steps mentioned below:

  1. Ensure that your finance and operations app version is up-to-date.
  2. Install the dual-write core solution. Choose solutions in the power apps in the left pane. Select open app source>Dual write core. Import the solution by following the prompts.
  3. Provide Dataverse access to ensure that it links to the finance and operations app.
  4. Allow Finance and operations app access to ensure that it can connect to data verse.
  5. Allow app consent in the tenant, enable the dual-write plug-ins and import the dual write application orchestration solution.
  6. Uninstall the prospect to cash(P2C) solution before enabling dual-write.
  7. Allow the configuration for the supported tenant.

Error: Bad Request error when creating data in finance and operations app

You may receive a bad request message when you try to create data in the finance and operations app. To fix the issue, follow the steps.

  • Open finance and operations app. In the data integration connection set, identify the business unit that is mapped.
  • In the model-driven app, sign in to the environment. Open settings>security and locate the team of the mapped business unit.
  • Open the editing page. Select Manage roles> Manage Team Roles. Allot the appropriate roles and click OK.

Resolve synchronization problems if you’ve shifted to a Dataverse

You need to be a system admin to fix this issue. Sometimes, you may receive an error message “Unable to generate payload for an entity.” You get this error in case of improper reset of the data transverse environment. The steps to fix this issue are listed below:

  • Open SQL server management studio by logging into finance and operations virtual machines.
  • Open dual writer project configuration and locate rows where internal entity name= customer V3 and external entity name = accounts.
  • Utilize the project name from the previous query to run the query. Also, ensure that the app URL is correctly entered into the external environment URL column.
  • Eliminate the rows that have a wrong Data transverse URL.
  • Wipe out the rows and tables in the data writer project field configuration.
  • Restart the table mapping.
